The Museum of Friends is a 501 © (3) nonprofit educational organization that relies on your support to keep its doors open. Your membership donations allow MoF to share its collections and programs with an ever increasing audience. We have expanded the public and educational programs and changing exhibitions to offer something for many ages and interests in our community. As a tourist destination, MoF aligns with the local and County Spanish Peaks Tourism department to raise public understanding of contemporary art and social issues to bring more visitors each year to Walsenburg to enjoy a robust exhibition schedule.

be part of the mof legacy

When you support the Museum of Friends, you contribute to the discovery and preservation of the rich art, history, and culture of Southern Colorado. As the first museum of Counter Culture Art in the United States, MoF plays a vital role in presenting socially engaged programs that inspire creativity and foster connections among the local community, visitors from across Colorado, and audiences nationwide.
We invite you to visit MoF and explore our programs, exhibitions, and community initiatives. Your generosity enables us to continue offering impactful educational programming, preserving the historic Roof & Dick Building, and creating spaces for cultural exchange and dialogue.

Together, we can preserve this cultural treasure and ensure it continues to thrive as a center for art, history, and community engagement.
