The Museum of Friends is a 501 © (3) nonprofit educational organization that relies on your support to keep its doors open.  Your membership donations allow MoF to share its collections and programs with an ever increasing audience.  We have expanded the public and educational programs and changing exhibitions to offer something for many ages and interests in our community.  As a tourist destination MoF aligns with the local and County Spanish Peaks Tourism department to raise public understanding of contemporary art and social issues to bring more visitors each year to Walsenburg to enjoy a robust exhibition schedule.

where your money goes

Annual Fund Drive for Membership is offered twice a year (the year-end appeal) and (the spring membership drive.)  Membership offers many benefits such as free entrance and discounts in the Made in Walsenburg Shop.  We invite all members of the community to openings and public events and hold one special member preview to encourage dialogue with our members by sharing surveys and questionnaires to design audience driven programs and exhibitions.  When you support MoF you are participating in the discovery of the hidden Art His/Herstory of Southern Colorado. As the first museum of Counter Culture Art in the US you will be a part of the presentation of socially engaged programs for the community and visitors from Colorado and all parts of the Country

We are inviting you to visit and reacquaint yourself with MoF’s programs and exhibitions.
