Words in Bloom: Found Poetry in Collage

Celebrate creativity and connection this Valentine’s season by crafting something truly personal. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the art of finding poetry in collage to design unique creations such as heartfelt cards, expressive journal pages, or keepsake pieces that capture your thoughts and emotions. Using words and images, you’ll leave with a tangible piece of art that reflects your story.

Writing Toward Well-Being

Discover the power of writing to bring calm, clarity, and connection to your life. In this 1.5-hour interactive workshop, you’ll explore grounding practices, reflective writing, and nature-inspired storytelling to process emotions and find deeper meaning in your experiences.

Using a natural object as a personal touchstone, you’ll engage in simple exercises designed to spark creativity and mindfulness. Through practical techniques and guided reflection, you’ll leave with tools to enhance emotional well-being, mindfulness, and self-expression in your daily life.

What to Bring: yoga mat, blanket, paper, pen

Memories in Motion: Mixed Media Memory Journaling

Facilitator: Heather R. Hernandez

Transform cherished memories or paper/cardboard, otherwise headed to a landfill, into creative art through mixed media techniques. Participants will reflect on personal experiences and bring them to life in unique journals that weave together storytelling, art, and memories.

What to Bring: glue stick, old birthday/anniversary cards, pictures, ticket stubs, envelopes, any paper or cardboard item you've yet to recycle
